On 1 June 2009, Amy Rose and her neighbour Alice Ferguson closed Greville Road for a few hours after school to allow the children to play out.  We had a fantastic turnout of a wide age range of children and their parents and carers. Residents from other streets asked us to help them to do the same and the Playing Out network was started. Bocadalupa continue to support this initiative as associate creative directors and artists in residence.  We are working with Playing Out CIC to develop workshops, films, chalking projects and other participatory events to embed a culture of street play in Bristol and beyond.
